I wonder which is nicer to use, this X-300 based, Chinese produced camera or one of the Cosina CT-1 based cameras.

I'd wait for the Pentax K 10,000 Super Duper.

IT's junk. On the other hand, I have a SuperDuper K3000, and I got it for a song.

I think you meant "film" but it might better be "flim - flam" camera!

I’ve heard of Seagulls with K mount. The plastic thing is definitely not a real Pentax. I’ve seen lots of those cheap things being sold as actual cameras. Be careful.

Wasn't there talk back in day of Pentax developing a "REAL" K2000, but it never got off the drawing board, or became another model, or something like that?

P.S. @Sujan420 where did you see this camera advertised? There's some sort of watermark over your photo, but I can't read it....

Here is the link of seller . He is selling it for 30 bucks. So is it a fake camera ?

It comes from Hamrobazar, which is a sort of Nepalese ebay (I'm not going to post a link, but you can easily Google it then search for Pentax on the site). Given that the price of 999 Nepalese Rupees is about $8 USD there's no doubt that it's a fake. International delivery doesn't seem to be an option, but I'm wondering if there's some other way to get hold of one. Have we got any Pentaxians planning on climbing Mount Everest soon?

Edit: Just noticed that pres589 has already posted a link. Somehow I missed that reading down through the thread.

Yes i am from nepal thinking of buying it

It's definitely a fake Pentax...see the notes earlier in the thread for the underlying camera model.

Looking a little more, this seems pretty similar to the Seagull DF-300. Here's a manual for that camera;

https://www.cameramanuals.org/pdf_files/seagull_df-300.pdf

Operation of this camera looks pretty straight forward. I would kind of like to try one but I don't need another camera laying around and I'm surely not going to run into anyone around me that owns one of these to try out.

Very impressive detective work, well done.....................
Was my first guess, but there have been a couple of threads about odd-ball K-mount product from China. The genuine Seagull is supposed to be a decent camera.

The controls for the Seagull DF-300, which look identical based on what we've seen here so far, make me think this camera would have nicer controls and such than a lot of Pentax film cameras...
