Advice for my Daughter?

Hi all,
My lovely 2 yr old daughter has recently gotten into photography - film photography of all things!
However, her images seem to not quite be in focus and I think her framing is consistently a bit off... is there a problem with her camera?
Related picture attached.
Any tips I could pass on would be appreciated!
Thanks and take care!

Couple tips:
1: Don't grow up! It's a trap!
2: Don't discourage her unique approach to selfies
3:Keep the camera where it is but try to stand in the other side just for fun

Thanks for making my afternoon!

She's a keeper for sure! She's invented the ultimate in Eye-AF. And from fuzzy pictures, she'll soon move on to irresistible fuzzy logic that works on her dad.

P.S. You should try her technique because it works! The optics of a viewfinder actually do focus an image onto the screen that can be seen through the lens. (That's another advantage of SLRs that the mirrorless camera sheeple can't enjoy!)

100% cute. Can't beat that. We raised 4. Do it again in a heartbeat. I love watching little ones explore their world.

The only advice may be some steel toed shoes.

1) Pan focus lenses are your new best friends.
2) location location location!
3) Forget that fancy ETTR, Sunny 16 all the way!
4) Never… EVER… lick a lens to clean it. They taste bad!
5) see number 4? Film is worse than lenses.

Her message is that the lens is more important than the viewfinder...

She is into a scientific approach of photographing. First you must research what it is to be in front of the camera. Then you need to research what it is to be behind the camera. On basis of her research findings she will decide whether she will be a model or a professional photographer.

LOL, how about putting a camera strap on it before she drops it and breaks something.

Don't forget to fit a strap … don't want her dropping her new toy on that hard path and breaking it!

She is on the "right path". Its all about the lenses and not the camera! ;-)

No strap please, because if she let the camera drop it might topple her over, better a damaged camera than a hurt two year old lovely daughter!
