Lightmeter Pentax ME

The lightmeter of my Pentax ME does not respond anymore. Can the cell be exhausted ? What does a new cell cost. Can it still be repaired ?

Have you double checked the batteries are inserted the correct way up ?

More likely the batteries or contacts.
I think the cost to replace a meter cell would be more than another body.

The meter cell is part of a circuit board and was never available separately. Most likely not the problem anyway.
