Hi all
I live in Vietnam, I want to find the Sigma 70-200mm EX APO DG (not OS HSM macro) but it's too difficult. I also went to ebay, Japan's yahoo auction site, but couldn't find it. If anyone has information about this lens, please contact me.

By this do you mean the screw drive sigma APO 70-200/2.8 EX DG

This is a somewhat rare lens, only made for a year or so

It is optically the same as the Sigma APO 70-200/2.8 EX that I bought in 2003 when I bought my first *istD,

Sigma sat on the fence for about 3 years with no new production of a 70-200/2.8 for Pentax before it came out with its first macro version with HSM but the HSM lens was reported to be not as sharp..

Given the lens is more than 15 years old and somewhat rare to begin with it will be a hard find. There are a few members here like myself that have either this lens or the predecessor from the film era. But I don’t any of us will sell.

I can’t open that site. I never sold a lens of that type. I’ve no connection to any sale of a Sigma f2.8 lens, I’ve never owned one. You might contact the seller and perhaps use an escrow service with an address in a country they will ship to.

ok, if this lens is for a K1 or K1 mkll you may not want it. It will lock up the camera when attempting to use it unless it was a lens that had the firmware update which Sigma no longer does. So it can be a crap shoot when one buys one.

ALL older with screw AF are fine

I also have a reference, some 70-200mm HSM lenses sometimes have problems. The EX and EX DG are with screw AF are fine

I have this lens EX DG, not OS HSM or macro version. It behaves erratically in any of the priority modes on my K1 (with latest firmware), the pictures would come out underexposed. I have to use it in M mode with the aperture ring. I believe the communication with the lens when the picture is taken is inconsistent with each shutter press. The exposure info on the screen is correct, I used the same exposure settings in M mode and the picture comes out correct, but not the resulting picture. The problem would occur after the

The AF is fine and it's a very good lens optically.

The irony is the lens works without any issue on my K50 on all modes. Does anyone have any ideas?
