The ES service manual is used for the adjustments as per the ES II parts list. For automatic exposure times it says to first adjust the mechanical exposure then using then using the exclusive shutter speed testing unit ESST-1A and Light Value Correction Unit (calibrated light source) PA16-C/31-C adjust the time with variable resistors VR5 (slow) and VR8 (fast) on the O-T1 print pattern assembly. It also mentions there is a minimum time interval between shutter releases (not to test consecutive releases one right after the other).
According to the Camera Craftsman repair article there are three capacitors:
C1 - as soon as timing capacitor (Ct) reaches the reference voltage stored stored across C1 the transistor-switching system shuts off the current flowing through the electromagnet. The shutter variables and the memory circuit just determine how long it takes for Ct to reach the reference charge.
C3 - hooks in parallel with the coil of the electromagnet and appears to be a shock absorber.
Ct - memory capacitor - you can't see the memory capacitor unless you destroy the memory switch assembly. The capacitor sits within the memory-switch assembly sealed in epoxy.
So the capacitors you'd need to replace are C1 and Ct. To replace Ct you'd have to replace the memory-switch assembly.
