K1 firmware update crashed my camera

I have two K1's and was updating the firmware on both today. The first one went fine ( the older body). The second one, I got an error message and all the screen displays are a mess of white, pink and black colors. I have taken the battery out and reinserted but the same screen shows up each time. Any help will be much appreciated

Redo the firmware update process , with a fully charged battery. And if this doesn't work, you have to send the camera for repair.

Did you use the same SD card for both? If you're going to re-run the update, I'd try it on a different SD card, just in case there's an intermittent issue with the one you used...

As BigMackCam mentioned, start from scratch with a clean card just like you were going to do a single camera. It might be in that taking the update from the card in your first camera, the file left was corrupted somehow. However, as biz-engineer mentioned, it might be a trip to the shop for your camera if your camera won't initialize and attempt a re-write of the firmware.

Are they both original K1? If one is K1ii, it uses different firmware.

Thanks folks. I think I'm going to have to send it in for repair. I did use the same SD card which probably was the issue

Sorry to hear that

Have you tried to re-do the firmware update?

Using the same SD-Card is fine.
As far as I understood it both are K1 (MK-I)? None were updated to the MK-II version?)
