K-70 how do I select RAW files permanently

I've tried using the RAW file selection button in auto. It makes a Raw file and resets to jpg for the next image.

@FozzFoster 's (excellent) video definitely covers it, but in case video isn't your preferred learning method:

Press the "Menu" button

use the d-pad or the thumb wheel to move over to Tab 2 of the camera icon (should be to the right just once)

press the down button once to "Image Capture Settings"

press "OK" or the right button to get into that menu

the top setting is "File Format," so it should already be selected

press "OK" or the right button to get into that setting

choose "Raw," the second one down

press "OK" (the button in the middle of the d-pad) to set it

the fourth setting down is "RAW File Format," where you can select between PEF or DNG (I choose DNG to be more compatible with all software, but either one should have the same quality)

press "Menu" twice to go back to the standby screen
