Catch-In Focus and Live View?

I have a K-1ii and an old 50mm f.4 macro I use for flowers. Catch-In Focus works like a champ through the viewfinder but I can't get it to work when I'm using live view for those really low angle shots. What am I doing wrong?

AFAIK catch-in-focus uses PDAF, and thus does not work in live view (which uses CDAF).

For live view there are other options like focus peaking and magnification. Focus peaking is kind of a visual version of CIF.

As noted above … Catch-in-Focus doesn't work in LiveView .
Personally I use the Ref A right-angle viewfinder attachment, that way I can work at ground level and retain Catch-in-Focus

I bought mine when I bought my *ist film camera … it's been in my bag ever since!
Expensive new, they can occasionally be found s/h at very reasonable prices.
