Try that with a manual zoom, you have to have a guess at what focal lenght to put in, I would go for the longest.

When I use my Adaptall II zoom lenses on my K3, I use the mid point - i.e. for the 70 - 210, I choose 140 (210 + 70 = 280, divide by 2 = 140). Maybe not mathematically accurate, but seems to work for me.

That may be the worst option.

Pictures taken using the mid or lower FL range will be over-compensated by the SR mechanism if you enter a longer FL setting in the SR menu.. Best advice is to use either the actual FL, or failing that, the lowest FL or the mid range with a bias toward the lower.

Registering a lower FL than the one in use may lead to a less than ideal SR response, but it wont induce shake. Registering a longer FL can do just that
