SDXC card memory proplem...

Hello, I have a problem with my Pentax K-70.
When I put SDXC it gives it as defective.
I have 2 64GB and two 128GB are all from SanDisk. If I put SDHC it takes it and everything is normal!!!????
Has anyone had the same problem with their SDXCs. I had a return with Rocho Pentax but they tell me that they do not test all models and brands of SDXC card.

If you got the card from Amazon, I would suspect it's counterfeit.

Have you formatted the card in camera?
Can you post a photo of the front and rear of the problem card?

From Amazon, or through Amazon? I'd be surprised if a card sold directly by Amazon was not genuine.

Is the SDXC card UHS-I or UHS-II? The K-70 is only compatible with UHS-I.

i bought a SanDisk card supposedly from the SanDisk Store sold and shipped by Amazon. I bought the card as new but it was shipped in a green plastic bag in the little card holder. No retail packaging, no warranty info. There was a finger print on the label and the contacts had wear (witness) marks on them. I didn't trust it to be genuine or new/unused. So I would say you can get questionable cards sold by Amazon.

Try formatting the cards on your computer using the SD Association app - SD Memory Card Formatter | SD Association

What exact model of SD cards are you using. Can you post a picture of the front of them?

Your camera firmware may not be up to date.

You may be trying to use a SDXC USH II card

If you can answer those questions we may be able to help further.

Typically Uhs-II cards are considered backwards compatible to uhs-1 cameras. The extra contacts are ignored and the speed is simply uhs-1 at that point. I’ve never seen a uhs-II card fail to work in a uhs-1 slot.

Formatting on a computer using the official sd card Utility is a good first step. I suggest using the complete not quick format done that should expose any fakery done in a counterfeit card.
