K30 Tethered shooting on Mac

Hi I've just joined the forum after finding it incredibly useful. So I'm trying to use Adobe Lightroom Classic to do tethered shooting on my Mac. I downloaded the plugin and enabled it in Lightroom. Connected the camera with a USB lead but, although the programme can see previous shots, it refuses to connect to the camera for live tethered shooting. Any ideas?

The K-30 is not supported by the official plugin as far as I'm aware. However, you could use community built solutions like pktriggercord.

It has been several years since I used pktriggercord with my K-30, but my experience wasn't good. It worked like it should once, then the camera quit responding, requiring a reinstall of the original firmware. After doing this a few times, I decided I was no longer going to take a chance on bricking my camera for good.
