K100d Battery's

Hello I am running through 4 AA every 2 weeks to use my k100d I was wondering if Panasonic Eneloops would be a good choice and if not what would be.

I run my K200D, my K30 and my K50 on Panasonic Eneloops (rechargable) for daily use, and they work flawlessly. For once-in-a-lifetime, intercontinental trips I prefer Energizer Lithiums (non-rechargable). I don't dump them in my destination after use, of course, but bring them home to dispose of.

I agree with the above. I use Enloops in my k100d that I use to convert lenses. They work wonderfully. I have also used non-rechargeable lithium aa’s as my emergency backup power on trips in the past. I used them with my k-50 and the aa adapter off the other batteries ran out.

Biggest problem can be that the buffer CMOS 3v battery is dead.
Then it will draw energy from any battery no matter how good it is:

This problem shows itself when you have to set date and time each time you change/swap the main batteries.
