K-70 in raw format

I somehow got my K-70 so pictures are raw format and the pictures are almost black unless I manually adjust the EV bar scale. I’ve tried to set it to jpeg at image capture and the settings appear to be set at jpeg but when I take a pic it shows RAW on the top right of the display screen. How can I fix this? I’ve only ever used the auto setting so I’m not sure what I did. Is there a way to do a reset to factory settings?

When you download the images, what file extension do you see?

Further, the image on the screen is not telling you it's shooting RAW, it's telling you that, if you push that button, the camera can save a RAW image on demand.

Your mention of dark images makes me think there's more at play here.

Take a couple of shots at full-auto (on the dial) and see if the images are still dark.
