What causes lines in the image?

I have had my Pentax K100D for almost 2 yrs but now I am having lines in some pictures, and distortion in others. Is my sensor starting to go? And if so is it expensive to fix?

Do you have any photos we can see. Also are they showing up in ALL your photos or just ones you are taking under certain circumstances ie Low Light/High ISO?

I remember reading of someone who had a similar problem and they tried a different memory card and the problem went away. Don't know if you tried this or not, but might be an easy fix. Also, is it possible to post some pictures showing what is happening?
