my choice of Pentax was easy, Backwards Compatability, my wife had a ton of manual lenses for her Pentax SLR, and why buy a Nikon DSLR that can't use those lenses, or even use old Nikon lenses.... it was a big money savings for us, letting us focus our money on a better body while using the lenses we already had.

Hi Automan, I totally agree with you as many would. I am now in the process of setting up a Tamron adaptall-2 SP lens system. The lenses I have are the Tamron SP 300mm f5.6, Tamron SP 35-80mm CF Macro f2.8-3.8 model 01A, the Tamron 70-210mm CF Macro model 19AH and am in the process of getting the rare Tamron SP 2x 200F teleconverter. I am very, very pleased with the results of these lenses in conjunction with my Pentax camera. I, personally , think that this system works very well with Pentax range of cameras especially DSLR. This goes to show how flexible the Pentax + Tamron systems are, at a fraction of the cost, of the other manufacturers.
