Should I return K20D - purple line in all pics

A few days back I noticed that some shots had a vertical line of purple running thru the picture everytime I zoomed into the picture in playback mode. Today I saw that every single shot taken has a purple vertical line (even without zooming in). I have heard of purple banding issues in pentax cameras. Is there anyway that this can be fixed or should I return the camera and get a replacement and hope that the other one is a good piece? I have attached a picture to show the vertical line. Experts please weigh in with your opinion.

I had some bad vertical banding the other night and from time to time I'll get some sort of bizarre lines, but they've been horizontal and it's been very, very, very, rare--maybe one out of every 800 pics (which doesn't really concern me). If every shot you're taking is like that, I would get a new camera ASAP.

I would send it in for service but do not expect a new camera. They are allowed to fix things.

I think I've heard of this happening several times before and the users replaced the sd card and the problem went away. Worth a shot anyway since it's easy and takes little to no time to try...

If its new...

Try that SD card fix that vagrant suggested, if that does not work take it back, if its more than 30 days out of the store, send it in for service. They are usually fairly fast.

It is more than likely the card, this has been talked about several times in the past, it would be highly unusual if the camera were at fault.

I had lines in some photos once on my K10D. After reformatting the card a few times the lines went away.

Thank you all very much for your suggestions. I tried reformatting and even changing the card, the line wouldnt go. It is not even 10 days since I purchased - so I think I can return this.
I will ask for a replacement and hope that my ill luck does not follow me around like a faithful dog!
Thanks everyone.
