You all are right - I was overly broad. There are a very few lenses that mount to Pentax K-mount film cameras but not digital, either because of the Ricoh pin or the flange. Not something that comes up all that often, but certainly, if the lenses specifically says Ricoh, something to look out for. In either case, it is simple to fix, from what I hear.

Actually, though, I expected to be called out on another front - screw mount and 645 lenses mount but require an adapter. And there are are always the occasional 110 lenses that show up on Ebay.

Nah, we all understood what you meant. Just wanted to warn the OP that *some* particular lenses can do damage if not modified first.

There are also some Vivitar K-mount lenses that need to have the aperture actuator "guard" trimmed before they will mount cleanly.

In M42 land, there are problems with some Fujinons. They have a nubbin on the edge of the lens back that butts against the K-mount in such a way that the lens will not mount cleanly.
