another simple question

Just purchased 2x Sandisk extreme 111 disks. I have read that if the serial numbers are the same on both then they are not genuine disks...Is this True as my disks have the same number on them? Just going on a cruise around Great Britain and don't want them failing me on journey.

Sounds like a reasonable assertion - since serial numbers ought to be serial, but I don't know specifics about counterfeit cards.

On a more general note, it will help you get answers your questions if you write better subjects for them. For instance, instead of, "another simple question" you could say, "Question about SD card serial numbers" or, "Are these SD cards counterfeit?" or something similar. That will give people more impetus to read your question rather than skip over it.

Try to fill up the card with data and read it back. A counterfeit card won't store anything close to the capacity on its label. A real card might fall a bit short due to slight differences in file format, definitions of storage capacity, the files used and other techncal issues, so don't worry if you can only get 1.97 Gb on a 2 Gb card. If you can only get 128K on the card, that's when you should worry.
