I never had a problem selling anything branded Pentax. Something like a Vivitar 50mm f1.9 might even perform the same, but it's tough to convince anyone else that it should sell for the same price.
I spent a lot of time on eBay - probably should have been taking pictures instead - and really started to notice front element reflections. The 50mm f2 lenses always have a purple reflection, sometimes quite spectacular. All the other Pentax 50s look different.
