M42 Adaptors

Hi All,

I'm not a total rookie, my K10D has 10,000 actuations, but I am a total newb when it comes to the older M42 lenses and what adaptor is required and the differences between the ones out there. I'd like to start playing with some older lenses and like the Pentax 135/3.5 I have now. Can anyone school me on which adapters are best and where to get them?

The genuine Pentax M42 is the one to get. Can't say where you'd get one in the US other then Ebay. Perhaps some of the US members can point you to a retail outlet.

the genuine Pentax adapter. seriously, don't cheat yourself. the older ones were labeled 'mount adapter K' the new ones are labeled 'mount adapter B' but they are the same thing. I would normally direct you to the Pentax USA webstore, but it seems as though they have (yet again) run out of stock. I would enquire to Pentax USA about when they will get more, and while im at it, check the marketplace here and of course the bay.
