Pentax K10D, Flash, 50 1.4 on Craigslist

So I am looking to jump to Pentax soon, as others who have followed my threads will know.

Today on the Photo section of my local Craigslist, an ad popped up for a k10D, 50 1.4, and AF200g flash for $700. Now I haven't seen the item in question yet, which is why I am asking here if the price is a good value or if I should try to talk the seller down some.

Here is the ad in question: pentax k10d + + +

It depends on how bad you want/need the camera.

$700 is too high IMHO. Decent K10D body is about $400 (wanna buy mine?), FA50 1.4 is about $170 (used prices). I would not spend $50 for the AF200g (in general, I don't like flash guns without auto mode).

If you are patient, you can find better deals right here on The Photographer's Marketplace forum.

Soldbear is quite about right with the prices.
If you are patient enough though, you can get the K10D in the "Marketplace" in this forum for $375-$400.
The 50mm 1.4 might actually be an "A" lens and not an "FA".
FA lenses would cost a bit higher but not much.
Once the K7 gets released next month and a lot of good reviews come out,
I'm sure a lot of K200D, K10D, and K20D users here would sell their DSLRs for a bargain to get on the K7 bandwagon.

Here's a post by a forum member Modeltweaker where factory refurbs are being sold at bestbuy for a low price.
K10D is priced at $400 https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-dslr-discussion/63284-k20d-refurb-...uy-outlet.html.
There's also an offering for the K20D, K200D, ist DL all at low prices.
Hope this helps.

The lens shown is an FA50/1.4 but $200 is a little high. The seller is also including a split-prism focusing screen which if a good one like Katzeye can go for $100 but used resale is probably only half that. If it's a cheaper screen, used price would be reduced accordingly. I also wouldn't be all that interested in the AF-200FG which has too many shortcomings (no bounce, no auto, limited manual, and I don't think it can be a wireless commander).

Yes, the flash will actually be of no use that is why I never even mentioned it on my previous post as would be of interest to the buyer,
so that should actually be good as free thrown in to sweeten the deal.
