I have the 300. The ability to swing it around and have it cantilever in front of you is very handy, it functions as a small platform for changing lens while your gears is safe and snug in their place holders. It is roomy enough for a K20 with 50-135, a 16-45, and a flash.

My nitpicks on this bag:
1. tripod strap too flimsy, does not grab the tripod securely in place
2. like to see more breathing space on the part that touches your back - it gets warm on long treks.
3. would like a color other than black to reduce heat absorption
4. No rain cover
5. would like a shoulder strap D-ring to hang the camera
6. zipper can be hard to pull sometimes
7. would like the cover to open from below, so that when cantilevered, the cover open
away from you. As it is, to reach the bottom, you have to raise the cover wide open
for all to see what is in your bag.

I want to know which backpack would be best for me. I want to be able to store some college coursework inside with my camera but all bags hold camera or laptop and camera only. I want a hybrid that will be able to hold books with camera.

Wouldn't mind one of these.

Except for the inherent un-stuff-ability of the case.

Riggs! Get to da chopppaarrgh! How do you like your new slingshot 200? Like I explained to you. I had that for a day and then switched to a simple shoulder bag (Crumpler 5 Mill) for street photography and travelling. Eventually I will get a nice backpack (Gear/clothing or lunch options) for treks.

Enjoy it!!
How do you like the Crumpler 5? Is it the 2009 model with two straps in the front? Is it comfortable? How long of a lens attached can you have in the bag? I hear some good things about these? - Kai
