Zenitar 16mm Fish-Eye Front Cap Replacement?

Hi everyone,

Oh dear....I lost the front cap of the Zenitar and xBay charges like USD$30 for a replacement.

Does anyone know if another (cheapter) cap would fit? The Zenitar has a protruding hood and has a bit of a weird shape.

The cap on mine says 60 x 0.75 on the inside of the cap. I suspect that a deep 60mm push on cap might fit. Alternatively, you could fashion a DIY hood similar to the one uccemebug links to from his review of the Zenitar 16:
