monopods

Have a read of this thread.
There is a very good example here from a Pentax forum member jem that doesn't need any explanations on how good a monopod is!
Just look at his photo example and you'll need not ask again..LOL

His photo is a very perfect example of using a monopod!

I bought this on ebay: VANGUARD TRACKER AP-364 Pro MONOPOD for $24.99
I think I got lucky and ended up being the only bidder on item # 330351212047. It's going for $44 on Amazon and got good reviews. I sure hope it works well. I'll update the thread with my assessment as soon as I've tested it out.

Hrm. Looks quite sufficient. Mostly, with monopods, the difference in price is about size, weight, durability, and any features. By the time you want for anything more expensive, you'll have the more idea what you'd like.
