Snap-on lens cover on Takumar?

I found this on Ebay: item number 280386660971
It's a 49mm snap on lens cover. One of the lenses I ordered came with a leather case but no lens cover. Would this snap-on cover work on my Takumar lens or would it make contact with and scratch the front lens element?

No worries about scratches, I'm sure. But that particular design of cheapie cap is actually pretty terrible for a lot of lenses, (Kind of them to show the back, but that's why I say that.

) ...they tend to fit pretty precariously and wear out easily, particularly if you're trying to put em on a filter. It's actually just that they're kind of thin and don't have a lot of 'threads' to grip the filter thread with

A *little* nicer would probably be worthwhile. Doesn't take much. (I don't think I've seen a center-pinch type yet which didn't work just fine, for some reason.)
