Okay, maybe I'm crazy, but I thought this was really simple and assumed it was completely normal...

I upgraded to a Km/K2000 from a Spotmatic. The old Spotmatic's timer, for both delayed aperture and for timing the exposure, makes a buzzing sound. When I got my Km I noticed the exact same sound, albeit much softer and slightly more irregular, and was pleasantly amused by this.

[edit]I was amused to hear this 40 year old sound in my brand new camera.
