Price too good to be true??

I'm in the market for a Tamron 18-250mm lens... I'm wondering if I'm seeing something wrong here at this link... Tamron A18 AF 18-250mm F/3.5-6.3 Di-II LD Aspherical (IF) Macro Zoom Lens - AF018N700 -
Something fishy here? Is this the AF18-250mm F/3.5-6.3 Di-II LD Aspherical (IF) I've read about that many folks say is a great all around lens (the same lens as the Pentax SMC DA 18-250MM F3.5-6.3 ED AL(IF))... ??? What's going on here? I don't want to buy any gray market stuff, and I suppose I'm just looking to this community for help. Thanks, guys.

Damn Brit

On Amazon it's $499 -
That's where you should be looking if you're concerned about getting scammed. That's usually where you'll find the cheapest price from a legitimate seller.

I've also noticed that the two other sellers listed, have the lens as 'New in Box' whereas the seller you are looking at only lists it as new. It may be a return and might not have warranty.

Thanks for pointing that out, I clicked on the wrong link. I've corrected the link in my previous post now.

Good job for picking up on the OP's error also.

Has the Pentax version been discontinued?

In an effort to be helpful I was going to mention that I got the pentax 18-250 direct from Amazon for about $425 3 months ago. So I looked around for current prices, and B&H has the Pentax version listed as discontinued, Amazon does not list it (as of this writing), and it is not available at the pentax webstore.

Has Pentax discontinued their rebadge of this lens?
