Used k10d or K200d

I am going to buy a used Pentax camera. My budget limits me to these two Cameras. I know of the difference in battery technology that seems like a wash. Are there any other features that would put one in front of the other?

The main differences are the K10D has the larger pentaprism viewfinder, and dual control wheels (and other miscellaneous exterior controls). Also can shoot longer in continuous mode. It's definitely the higher-speced camera overall, but it is also noticeably bigger and heavier, which was one of the main reasons I went with the K200D.

Have a look at the forum's camera review database:

I opt for the K10D for the versatility of features and customisation.

When I was looking into a body, that is what I was between. Really boiling it down, comes down to this: same sensor, but the K200d firmware is newer, so they may have pulled slightly more performance out of it. The K10D has the better viewfinder and has more external controls, has a larger frame size. The K200d is more compact, uses the everyday AA batteries, more of the adjustments are within the menu's in a smaller frame size. Both sound to be great batteries. Personally, I chose the K10d, but I got a great deal on a close-out clearance price when Ritz was trying to dump the last of the bodies on hand. What I read about the K200d is what brought me into Pentax though.

Actually, not just the firmware, but supporting hardware too (A/D converters, etc). K200D is noticebly better than K10D at high ISO - something I didn't know when I made my choice, so it didn't enter into my decision-making processing.

Of course, tomorrow is supposedly the official announcement of the K-x, which looks to be a really strong contender too if you don't need weather sealing.

The K200D also has a larger LCD at 2.7".
