monitor

how do you use the monitor to take pictures?

Monitor as in laptop? or the LCD on the camera?

I'm guessing the OP might mean "live view". That's not a feature of most DSLR's - it's something P&S cameras typically have because their viewfinders are so terrible. On a DSLR, it is typically not needed because the viewfinder is so much better, and it is much harder to implement because of the mirror (ie, the thing that makes it a DSLR in the first place). But the K20D, K-7, and new K-x all feature some version of this feature.

this is one feature i wish my k200d had. oh well.

I also think that this is what he meant by "monitor"
