selling photos online

have any of you sold your pictures like on a online website before?
if you have are their any trustworthy sites?

I am currently in the process of setting up a website with smugmug. There are a plethora of reputable websites out there.

If you are looking at selling images as stock check out istockphoto and shutterstock. Those are the two big ones in microstock photography (istock is the most picky).
I belive you can sell photos through zenfolio as well.

(I don't actually know anyone who has sold a photo online ... has anyone here ever sold one ? or sells them regularly? )

Not exactly selling individual photos online, but I have self published a book with over 1000 of my own photos and have sold over 340 books so far since January of this year. Of those 340-ish sold, about half were online sales.

i would recommend checking out eBay as it is very popular therefore increasing your chances of finding a buyer for some other ideas on how to best utilise your photos check out making money in photography , rices generally range from $5 to $500
