Lens jammed on K200D

Hi, I am a really new to DSLR who recently got a K200D. I bought some second hand lenses but the seller also sent a lens for freewhich was not part of the sale.
In a hurry to test the lenses, I mounted the free one first and instantly realised that I made a big mistake because it was jammed on the body. It made me think that the lens was not a pentax mount.

This is what is written on the lens, "SIGMA ZOOM-MASTER 1:2.8~4 f=35~70mm MULTI-COATED LENS MADE IN JAPAN 052".

I am afraid if I ruined my K200D and I cannot use it anymore.
Is it repairable? Does it cost a lot?
Can anyone help me with what I can do now? Thanks.

Is there a A(R), r(a) or just R setting on the aperture ring? If so the Ricoh pin may be your probelm. You can google that for more info - try engaging and disengaging the Auto-focus switch while attempting to rotate the lens.

Good luck!

Hi Nick, thanks for replying. On the aperture ring, it shows: "A (a symble similar to an arrow) 22 16 11 ...... 2.8". Thanks

It sounds like the dreaded Ricoh pin issue. I did the same thing when I first got my K200, but I was in a shop...doh! I had a repair shop remove it for $25, it took about 5 min.

Hi all,

Luckily I was able to remove the lens using a metal tape, which was the advice I found from googling about it. Thanks very much to all.

You can still use the lens although you have to disable the ricoh pin.
I have disabled many a ricoh pin.
I luckily have heard about the pin before I got my K100D super so I was already aware of it and how to remove it.

Here is the thread when I first asked about it and the sites I found on how to remove or disable it so you can still use the lens without any worries.
