Best K-M settings for taking fall pics

Hi, I am relatively new to DSLRs, bought K-2000/K-m 6 months back. I am visiting smoky mountains, mainly for best fall colours.. Any special settings would be better for pics in such scenario?...

Moved to Beginners Q&A, this was not about Style or Technique.

Rajdori, welcome to the forum, please be careful where you post.

Settings are subjective, try reading the manual and then experiment before your trip to find the settings you like best.

Main thing to worry about is the possibility that the camera will see all that color and it will confuse it's AWB - chances are pretty good it would try to suck the orange out of those leaves, just as it tries to suck the orange out of tungsten lighting. So either set WB carefully using the most appropriate preset, or erlse manually), or else shoot RAW and expect to set it later in post processing. As from that, I can't think of anything special about fall colorsn tha would require any unusual camera settings.

True. I find that the "shade" setting really brings out the fall colors.
