I can get me a nice takumar 300 mm f4 in mint condition.
Now I'm wondering if this mount will fit my k10d without any problem (with no rings and stuff)

Regards,

Prometeus

I can't see clearly, but it looks like someone has already mounted an M42-K adapter ring on it.

The lens is originally an M42 screwmount and will require an adapter (about $30) if one is not already present.

Thanks for your quick reply!

So if it is an actual photo of the lens with m42-k adapter ring it will fit my k10d?

Also if the lens is like new 'mint' what should I pay?
to be precise it is a super-multi-coated takumar 300mm F4 (and apparently with m42-k ring)

Cannot make a positive on the adaptor, looks like a Pentax, but Nikon looks simular. Even with having to get a different adaptor, any thing under couple hundred would be a good buy.
Just be aware Takumars are strickly Manual operation, which many of us oldtimers have been using for most of our lives. I have an old Tak. smc 400, f4 that I take out occasionaly. Definatly a tripod lens. jim

That looks like the k adapter with the little locking catch so make sure it will unscrew from the lens before you mount it as it may lock to the camera and give you trouble if it should happen to be frozen to the lens. Once installed you can unscrew the lens and the catch can be lifted with a fingernail to remove.

As far as price goes, try to get it as cheap as you can. I have seen then going on Ebay for around $200 to $300 depending on condition. I also saw one as Buy it Now for $179 and kicked myself for not jumping on it. As has been mentioned, the adapter is $30 so if it comes with one consider that in also. The Super-Multicoated and S-M-C Taks uaually go for a higher price than the Super Taks.

Thanks for all your comments, I've hold off the sale because I could get me a smc pentax - f 1.7x AF adapter. But when I think of it the adapter would make this lens an F5.6 510mm with autofocus.

I recently listed in the Photographer's Marketplace a Super Multi Coated Tak 300mm F/4 in mint condition for $190 shipped but noone seems to be interested (link to listing). It is now on FleaBay (link to listing)
