Not entirely sure man, I use Adobe Photoshop CS4 for most of my stuff and it seems to read my K-7's RAW DNG files just fine. Maybe somebody here will know, I have never used a mac before so I don't know anything about iPhoto.

Check iPhoto for an update that includes the K-7. Until the software knows what a K-7 is, it cannot recognize the files. Software is dumb. I have earned my living for a long time now, with software, and it is really, really dumb. It does exactly what I tell it to do - not what I meant to tell it to do.

As Albert says, the trick is in the version of iPhoto that you have - you will need the latest one to have the K-7's RAW files work. Then also set your colourspace to sRGB for best results on screen (and most printers).

I use sRGB for output, but set the camera to AdobeRGB. It gives a bit more headroom while tweaking.

But you should EXPORT your files to the web or print shop in sRGB in most cases to get better colour.
