K110d and Bracketing

Hi
I recently purchased a used K110d Pentax camera - no instructions.
I have a question on how bracketing works: When the bracketing function is selected, should the camera take 3 pics at 3 different exposure settings with one click of the shutter button?

or do you need to mount the camera on a tripod to take bracketing pics and click the shutter button 3 times and the camera automatically adjusts the exposure for the 3 shots?

thank you for any insight you have into bracketing on the k110d
regards,
Warren

Manual available online from Pentax

You can download a PDF copy of the K110d user manual, directly from the Pentax USA website.

I have a Pentax IST *DL and in order for bracketing to work you need to click the button 3 times. Also a tripod is extremely helpfull.

My K100DS does the same thing. Have not read the manual yet to find out what I am doing wrong.

Auto-Bracketing

I have never used a K110D, but on my K10D, the procedure is this.

1. In the menu, set the bracketing order

2. Press the auto-bracket button and set the number of shots (3 or 5).

3. Compose the shot, press and hold the shutter. The camera takes all three or five exposures and stops. (Make sure the camera isn't in continuous mode).

That's all I have to do.

A tripod is only necessary if the light levels call for it.
