Those white exposure papers

I've seen white exposure papers, along with several other shades attached. What does it do and how would one use it? Thanks

i think i got it, you take a shot of it, look at it in liveview and see if its white...

Typically , you'd use them to set a custom white-balance. Sometimes (rarely), you can use them to set exposure, like a grey card but 2.5 or 3 stops up.
