Cokin P query

I'm thinking of investing in the Cokin P series of filters, but am a bit confused as to what would be required to use the filters with my Sigma 10-20 and Tamron 18-250.

Presumably the wide angle holder would be required for the Sigma; would this also work with the Tamron (and if needed the DA40mm)?
If the one holder would work then additionally I would require the respective sized adaptor rings.

Regards
Adrian

The wide angle holder only has one slot for one filter, the normal holder has three slots for three different filters. So, I can use a CPL, and two GND filters.

I got the hitech GND filters and the coking circular polarizer. You can use the sigma at 10mm with a regular filter attached to the wideangle holder, only will vignette if the filter is rotated to 45 degrees, at 12mm you can use it at any angle. The CPL is too wide to be used at 10mm. You need adapter rings for each lens of different filter sizes.

Hope this helps.

A way around the one filter limitation of the wide angle holder on the Sigma 10-20mm is to use Kenko Pro1D filters. The filters are slim enough for 10mm, but still have front treads to be able to mount the wide angle holder. You can have one Kenko Pro1D filter with the Cokin P Wide Angle holder without vignetting at 10mm.

Thank you
Russell
