Whats the difference?

I was in B&H looking for some lens.
I came across some Pentax lens.

pentax 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6

Looking at the link. What are the differences between the two.
I plan to use the lens for shooting video with the Canon 7D.
Thanks

They are different: one is weather-resistant, one is not.

They are the same: don't work with Canon bodies.

Really? What about getting an adapter?
What about the m42 Adapters?
I also plan to get the 50mm f1.4 Super Takumar.

On those you can get an adapter.

No K-mount to Canon adapter available that I know of.

You will need to get an m42 to K-mount adapter for the Super Taks

You might be able to find an adapter to use Pentax KAF2 lenses on a Canon body (I don't know of any, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist). But I bet you that you will lose all automatic functions (meter, focus). For these particular lenses, which does not have aperture ring, you can't even control the aperture. I wouldn't bother even if I could find that adapter.

But the lenses referred to in your original post are not M42 lenses.

I realize that there exists adapters to use M42 lenses on a Canon body. But again, everything will be manual.

Well if the Pentax 18-55mm Lens don't fit on the 7D.
Then what other M42 lens can I get with a Wide zoom lens similar size.
I'm looking for a range in 100-200.

I think that everything is Manuel while filming in video mode on the 7D. Even if you get an AF lens.

The 18-55mm is not a M42 lens, it is a K-mount.

edit: I mis-understood the ? There are many many M42 lenses out there from a number of manf.

Let's not fight.

Use canon lenses on canon bodies. Amazon.com: Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS SLR Lens: Camera & Photo. 7D can do a 'slow hunt' autofocus, but I recommend avoiding it at all costs.

Thanks.
I was actually looking at those.
HEre is a shot using the 7D with the same lens.
.

I might have posted in a wrong site.
Maybe I should go with a Canon site.
This is for Pentax lovers.
But then why is DVXUSER.com so good?
