Pentax Computer Control Software

Hi folks, as far as I can tell, the only software that came with the camera was image editing software. Does pentax offer some kind of computer camera control software? By which I mean a software on a computer that allows you to press the shutter on your computer rather than on the camera itself.

Thanks

You can download Pentax Remote Assistant, but it works with K10/20D only. It doesn't work with the K-7 (can't say about the KM or KX).

yeah, I just checked the website. It doesn't seem to support the K-x. I wonder if that is some sort of a hardware issue or not. Maybe I should give it the benefit of doubt and just install it to see if it works.

I think they dropped it on the newer cameras.
Started on the K7 or the K-m.
It actually sucks that they stopped it.

well that's a bummer, what did they intend to accomplish by doing something so foolish?

probably didn't want to support the half-baked attempt that it was/is. Hopefully they've gone away to develop something functional.

Hope so 'coz it's kinda cool and actually functional to be able to tether it via the computer and view the shots also via the computer to see bigger previews than the camera LCD.
