Thanks quick answers to my question.

B&M exposure is not vital, but many people I know who purchased a lower end DSLRs bought one in a B&M store. Eg. More of an impluse purchase. Without physical presence, Pentax looses out of these sales.

In the DFW area, Frys does carry the K-X. Arlington Camera appears not to carry the DSLR line.

I found that Walmart and SAMs carry the Pentax line via. online ordering. I wonder if you can return it to a B&M store if there is an issue?

You can - a friend of mine did this with a Samsung MP3 player, and they accepted it.

Is there a Pentax meet in your area? If so, take him/her out.
