K20D......mirror lock

Hi everyone.

I have been looking, without any success, on HOW to use the mirror lock option on the camera.

help please

There isn't a true mirror lockup allowing you to lock it out of the way and then choose when to trigger the shutter. However the two second timer (and I think also the 10sec. timer) will lock up the mirror before the countdown - useful for eliminating vibration from the mirror for landscapes and other static scenes.

Just use the 2-sec delay, which locks the mirror up before the exposure starts and prevents mirror slap from contributing to camera shake.

Go into the menu, Set-up>scroll till you come to Sensor Cleaning>Choose Mirror up. After you have cleaned the sensor Turn off the camera and the mirror falls back down. Hope this helps.
Sorry I may have misunderstood, I thought you wanted to "Clean the sensor. Ash and yourself are correct, 2 sec/10 sec delay will lock the mirror
