Look at Feisol.
The Tournaments are quite light but also quite strong.
Their ballheads are also quite good.

Mate, being in Australia and buying locally, go for what your store has in a sturdy metal or carbon fibre tripod with the head of your choice. I prefer ball-head, and I've been more than happy with Manfrotto.

depends on how much you are going to spend and how much time you will spend looking for one.

I settled on an old school made in japan Slik U212. Almost as heavy as an M240 but the price was good and the load was plenty and could be deployed just about anywhere. Even supported my video rig.

I use the 055xprob. Good tripod. A heavier, stronger and more sturdy than the 190. The 190 is a good tripod. I've got the 468RC2 ballhead. When you buy a head go for quick release. It is worth the extra money.
