wireless flash triggers on 360FGZ?

Hey all, I have the pentax K-X and have recently purchased a 360FGZ flash.

To my understanding, I can do wireless flash without any flash trigger using the pre-built flash, is this any different from using the flash triggers such as the ones from cactus?

Thanks!

Blu3ness, people use radio wave triggers and receivers because it is more effective than the flash's built-in IR wireless. Using IR to trigger your flash can only work at a certain distance and can also sometimes be blocked, it isn't always reliable. Using a radio wave trigger and receiver such as a Cactus V4 uses radio waves, which are more effective, have a significantly longer range, and are far less prone to failing to trigger the flash. If you are going to be using wireless a lot then you should think about investing in one. Most people who extensively use wireless such as fashion, portrait, product photographers find these a necessity.

Yes, the internal system can use P-TTL (which I don't like) if you want it to. Also the internal system is limited to line-of-sight and a shorter distance. There is the chance that another camera will fire the flash in wireless mode as well.

Wireless triggers will simply fire the flash at full power but give you longer range and you can be anywhere you want. Even in a different room because it uses a radio frequency to fire the trigger. Generally more reliable using triggers of good quality.
