Asahi Pentax Auto Macro Tubes

Keen to have a play at macro photography. Came across a set of 3 genuine Asahi Pentax Auto Macro Tubes (K-Mount). Was hoping that the "Auto" will mean that the apperture can be controlled by the camera but can't find much information on them - is this the right assumption? Looks like there are at least some sort of linkages through them.

the pentax "Auto Extension Tubes" do not have the "A" contacts. These do have the mechanical aperture level so that you can still focus wide open and shoot in "M" mode though. There are even older non-Auto extension tubes that don't even have this and are just basically empty K-mount tubes.

Here is some info on extension tubes that Pentax has made:

Pentax did not make some extension tubes for the KA mount. There are a few third party options that were made, but they are hard to come by. Maybe someone else can help identify these?

I have a set with contacts that i bought from a shop in England waited months for them to arrive, any way they have no marks or brand name of any type at all to identify them, the shop is and tubes are at

Firstcall Extension Tube Set DG Pentax Set of 3 - Firstcall - Firstcall Photographic
I see the prices has gone up and they show stock
interestingly these tubes with contacts not only operate the lens iris but also operate the auto focus as well, however that is a bit of waste of time a the camera hunts like made to try to focus.
hope this helps
Alistair
