i have a vivitar 70-210mm macro focusing zoom lens. 1:4.5

i thought it was for a pentax body but it won't connect to my k-x. is there anything i can buy to adapt to it or am i SOL. it looks like a nice lens.

The Vivitar 70-210mm f4.5 lens is pretty much a "ho-hum" lens - the Vivitar Series 1 lenses are the desired ones.

If the lens mount on your lens is not a K-Mount mount, then you're not exactly SOL (you can sell it on eeekbay), you just can't use it on your Pentax camera.

I just had the same issue with a Vivitar zoom that mounted ok on a K1000 but not on my K-x. The mount had an extra black ring held on by 2 tiny screws. I removed that and now it works fine. Locks and everything.
