That mount does not look like a K mount to me. There are no gaps in the K mount lens.

It almost looks like some sort of T-mount without the adapter. Definitely not a K-mount.

Steve

BTW...Focal was the house brand for the K-Mart discount stores...

There are enough cheap 135mm lenses for Pentax that you shouldn't have to be even thinking about lenses that don't specifically say Pentax in the description. If the seller can't be bothered to put the name of the camera the lens is for in the description, that seller certainly can't be trusted to have verified the lens has any chance of working. When doing searches, always include the word "Pentax" in the search. That should hit not just the actual lenses produced by Pentax, but the lenses that the seller has verified are meant to work on Pentax. Other lenses arne't worth the bother of asking about.

If you are looking for a good, cheap 135mm PK (Manual) lens, keep an eye open for 135mm f2.8 Super Ozeck II Auto MC - close focusing.

I got one for a song on ebay and from the tests I made it outperforms my Komine made Auto Vivitar 135 2.8, which is lens that often get good reviews.

Thank you for the advice. I think I may hold out for a 200 or 300 seeing that I have a 28-80 already, 135 just doesnt seem that much farther like a 200 or 303 would

Tip 2:

Vivitar 200mm f3.5

(You will also need a M42 --> PK adapter ring)

Hope you withstood temptation...probably not a good purchase. Though for the $27.50 it finally went for, it might not be too bad. This looks like one of the generic made in Korea T-mount 400s that were common in the 70's and early 80s.

FWIW...best value in a 135mm is probably the Vivitar 135/2.8.

Well here are the standard ebay searches I use....

Pentax lenses
Pentax lens, Cameras Photo, Electronics. Great deals on eBay!

Tokina lenses with Pentax mounts
Pentax tokina, Cameras Photo, Pentax. Great deals on eBay!

Then for Sigma and Tamron, do the same just substituting in the name This covers the 3 main third party lens manufacturers, and usually catches most everything one way or another.

Tokina has stopped making lenses with Pentax mounts, however there are still quite a few Tokina lenses floating around out there in the aftermarket.
