hello everyone...about 55-300mm

I just bought the Pentax Kx with 18-55 and 55-300 kid bundle. To make it clear i just started learning . Yesterday i was trying to take some shots with the 55-300 and sometime i wasnt able to autofocus!!

Do you experience that problem as well or depends from the situation, i mean lighting colors and that.....any help would be helpfull

Welcome, there possible reasons that it could not autofocus are - the conditions are too dark, there is not enough contrast (the thing you are trying to focus on is a similar colour to what is around it), there is nothing actually for it to focus on (clear sky or blank wall) or what you are trying to focus on is too close, the closest it can focus is 140cm (if your subject is closer than that, it won't focus).
