Hello Everyone,

I received a new Kenko Teleplus DG AF 1.5X Teleconverter for my K7 today to use with my Pentax DA 50-135 and Pentax DA 300mm lenses. When I mount the tele + lens on the K7 the AF/MF indicator flashes back and forth. The focus point display also flashes.

Is my Kenko dead on arrival? MF works. AF does not.

I think the question might be does the Kenko support SDM for starters. Check this thread as the topic has gone around recently.

Is yours the older "SHQ" version? Mine isn't and the K20D is very confused when mounting DA* 300 f/4 on it. After pressing "Fn", the menu appears only briefly and then disappears. Focus confirmation doesn't seem to even work in MF mode... The non-SHQ version is a total disaster with SDM lenses.
