k20 - What is exposure check?

I was trying to use and old 55mm lens on my camera - which the salesman said would work on my camera. And with a little exploring of the manual - does work (manual needs a little rewording though). But still am wondering about something. It says 'exposure check' is possible in a table about using lenses without an 'A position' = manual lens. Last part of the table for All Lenses in M (hypermanual) setting, next box, last phrase.

What is exposure check? That phrase is nowhere else in the manual.

Look up Digital / Optical preview in your manual. Also look at using the green button to meter the shot with manual lenses.

one small point..

When you have done all above and are in digital preview, just flick the little lever on the shutter to the right and there is your pic. If you like FN to keep otherwise half press shutter and it will disappear.
