That's what I kept thinking when I read my manual the first several times. There's about 11 pages on printing from the card or the camera - I did that once. But the highly technical things get two lines, or worse, two lines here and one line 60 pages later. The manual shouldn't have to explain all of photography, but an Advanced section might help those of us whose last camera's "display" was a handful of LEDs.

Read it about 90% (skipped the summary and stuff like that at the end). Remembered about 5% of that and not what I had to remember when I accidently changed the focus point on my K10D

ummm.....there's a manual?

I haven't gone through the k10 or k-7 manual from front to back. It's there so that when I have a question (ie, when I want to try something new), I can look it up, try it out and see if I want to incorporate that into my usual shooting or not.

Aside from that, everything's been pretty strait forward on all the Pentax camera's I've owned from the MZ-S, *ist DS2, k10d & k-7.
